158g

158g

This is the lightest bottle we make, and the number that matters is 158g.

That's around 60g more than a typical plastic bidon. On a bike, in a running belt or in a pack, that difference disappears. What you get for it is a bottle that doesn't taste of anything, cleans out completely, and lasts years rather than a season.

If you count grams, this is the Bivo to buy.

Gravity Flow

Gravity Flow

Better flow by design. Working with our ex-NASA engineer, we developed the Bivo One to reach an unmatched flow rate with no squeezing required.

You can empty it faster than you can squeeze most traditional 621ml plastic bottles. It really is that fast.

Clean Taste

Clean Taste

It tastes like water, that's it. Stainless steel, food grade silicone, and every part comes apart so you can clean the whole thing rather than the bits you can reach.

No sealed valve, no plastic taste, no mould.

Grip and cage fit

Grip and cage fit

The silicone exterior on coloured bottles does two jobs. It grips when your hands are wet or gloved, and it kills the rattle in a cage over rough ground.

Universal cage fit, so it drops into the cage you already have.

It's going to get scratched

It's going to get scratched

Straight answer: a coated metal bottle in a metal cage picks up marks. Ours does. The coating scuffs where the cage grips it, and over a season it'll look like something you've used.

That's a deliberate trade. The coating is what gives you the grip and the quiet, and we'd rather it wore than swap it for something slippery and loud.

If you'd prefer a bottle that doesn't show it, the One comes in Raw: bare stainless steel, no coating.

Serious fun, less waste. The point of a bottle like this is that you buy one instead of getting through a drawer full of plastic ones.

Recyclable stainless steel, no plastic lining, and replaceable parts so a worn lid doesn't mean a new bottle.

Looking after it

Rinse after each use. Every part separates, including the nozzle, so give it a full strip down every few weeks or after anything sugary.

FAQs

How heavy is it compared to a plastic bottle?

158g empty, which is around 60g more than a typical plastic bidon. It's the lightest bottle we make.

What's the difference between the One and the Duo?

Capacity. The Duo holds 119ml more for 17g more weight and is 32mm taller. They share a lid, so you can run both.

What's the difference between the One and the Trio?

Insulation. Same 621ml capacity, but the Trio is double wall and keeps water cold for 12 hours and more. The One is single wall and 112g lighter.

Is it insulated?

No. Single wall, which is what keeps it at 158g. For cold water through a full day, the Trio is the one.

Will it fit my bottle cage?

Yes. At 213mm tall and 77mm at its widest it's a universal cage fit and works with standard cages without modification.

Can I put hot drinks in it?

Warm, yes. Not scalding. It's single wall with no insulation, so the outside gets hot and the fast flow makes very hot liquid difficult to drink safely.

Can I buy a replacement lid?

Yes, and it fits both the One and the Duo.

How do I clean it?

Take it apart. Everything separates including the nozzle, so nothing is trapped behind a sealed valve.

We love the insulated bottles so much! We have multiple colors, both sizes, both lids. We live in AZ with temps regularly above 100 and there is still ice in the bottle at the end of a long ride. We have taken hiking, traveling, on a snorkel trip, in the car - bivo is now our every day go to!! Btw, they work without the straw as well. Highly recommend!

Thanks for such an amazing review Kathy. The Arizona heat is no joke! I'm so happy to hear we can keep you cool both on and off the bike. The bottle was originally designed for the bike but we agree it can be used for so much more! Cheers, Bivo Crew

Oh wow, I was so excited for this coral Bivo water bottle to add to my biking experience. Unfortunately, I either got a bad bottle or these reviews are bots. This claims to be an ‘insulated’ water bottle but is freezing to the touch from the outside as soon as you fill it up and then the liquid inside quickly warms. In fact, my plastic (yuck) insulated Camelback is always colder than what’s in the Bivo. I have tested them together in hot days and mild days, Bivo always loses. Wet sad as I was hoping (obviously why I spent so much $$ on a water bottle) this would be my new favorite accessory.

Hi Linnea, thank you so much for writing. As we discussed over email, unfortunately there was a misunderstanding and your bottle is non-insulated, rather than insulated. We apologize greatly for the confusion. Our insulated bottles (Trio 21oz and Trio 17oz) maintain cold temperatures for 12+ hours, while our lightweight and non-insulated bottles do not. We are here to help and we'd love to get you the bottle you want, so please feel free to continue discussing this with us over email: thirsty@drinkbivo.com

I recently purchased two "Raw" bottles along with Dusty the Dirt Caps and so far they're great! They're so much lighter than I imagined 🪶 The flow is fantastic and cleaning them has been relatively easy.
On my drop bar adventure/all road/gravel/mixed terrain/whaeveryouwannacallit bike I'm using them with titanium Wolf Tooth Morse Cages and they stay in place with no rattling, even on rocky and rooty trails. I haven't used them on my MTB yet because I still need to adjust my Lezyne Power cage so they fit.
These are really well made bottles that I highly recommend if you're considering them ⭐️

Thank you for this review, Corinne. We are so happy to hear you are loving your Raw Bivos! It's great that your Wolf Tooth cages work well with your bottles. Cheers to staying hydrated and we hope you continue enjoying your bottles. -Bivo Team :)

All about the flow! I drink so much more water now (never come back with full water bottles like I used to). The flow also helps with tired mtb hands where now you don't have to squeeze. Great gift!

Thank you for this wonderful review! We're so glad you love the flow from your Bivo! Cheers to drinking more water with Bivo bottles :)

The bottle is nice and light with really good flow. Unfortunately, the cap is made of plastic so your water still comes into contact with some plastic.

Thanks for the review! We're glad you are enjoying your bottle. While our bottles use significantly less plastic than a typical cycling bottle we recognize we aren't 100% there yet but we're always working on improving and delivering the best performing bottles with the least amount of plastic. Please let us know if you have any additional feedback, or if there is anything else we can do for you. Thank you, Team Bivo

Would recommend. Ever so slightly heavier than plastic but so worth it. Water tastes better. Functions very well.

'So worth it' is what we love to hear! Clean tasting water makes all the difference, right? Thanks for being a Bivo fan!

Smart design, executed with quality materials. It's impressive how light it is. I like the way it flows and it looks great. I don't want to bang it up and scratch it, but I'm sure that day will come.

Lightweight and high flow is what we were aiming for, so we're so pleased to hear that this is what you love about your bottle! We appreciate the 5-star review! See you on the trails and let us know if there's anything else we can do for you. From, the Bivo team

Leaked on our run and was really annoying. Was excited about a non-plastic water bottle, but could never get it to not leak when we were out and about.

I absolutely love my Bivo! I am really not a fan of the plastic taste other bottles leave. When Bivo says your water tastes like water, they are totally right! The flow from the bottle is excellent. It’s by far my favorite water bottle.

Thank you for the great review, Tara. We are so glad you're loving CLEAN tasting water and great flow :) Makes all the difference, right?

Lightweight, easy to drink from, no microplastic or plasticizer contaminants

Hi John,

I'm glad to hear you found the bottle lightweight and easy to drink from! Clean, plastic-free, effortless hydration is our goal! Cheers, Bivo Crew

The bivo bottles are by far my new favorite. So easy to drink from, especially when you’re exhausted and need all the water you can get quickly on a mountain bike. I use the uninsulated ones during summer for more water capacity and in winter, the insulated ones keep the water unfrozen down way under freezing, I’ve been successful down to 9F with no cage insulation or hand warmers needed!

Thank you for this review! We're glad that you love your new Bivo! When you're tired, there's nothing better than an easy sip of water from a Bivo. I love the sound of your hydration strategy--more volume in the summer and non-frozen water in the winter. Perfect! -Bivo team

Love the stainless interior - no plastic taste. Dust lid needs to be easier to close with one finger. I like this product enough that I will probably buy another.

Thanks for the review! We're so glad you are loving the stainless steel base which means a clean tasting bottle! We appreciate the feedback that you'd like the dust cap to be a bit easier to close with a finger. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us with any other comments or concerns at thirsty@drinkbivo.com.

If you want any to get off the plastic train, this is the ticket. I threw out all of my plastic bike bottles and put two Bivos in my cages. Yeah, you can’t squeeze ‘em (and if you do, well, I want your workout routine), but the flow is good and you can suck if you want, too. Love how thorough you can clean these, too, WAY better than the Petri dishes my plastic bottles became. I give Bivo 5 straws.

Goodbye, plastic! Hello, Bivo! We're glad that you are loving your Bivo bottles and find them so easy to clean. This is amazing to hear. Enjoy, from the Bivo team.

I only got this bottle to try to eliminate some plastic in my life & the environment. But I love the color and i'm surprised how the color coating is holding up coming in and out of the bottle cage. I may just get a helmet to match 😄

Thank you for this review!! We are so glad you picked Bivo to help you reduce plastic in your life. We're thrilled the color is bringing you joy :) Cheers, from the Bivo team.

I have used the Bivo One for both running and biking and it is great for both. 21 oz is a good amount. The bottle is very light, comparable to a plastic bottle - nice to move away from plastic! The liquid delivery is great - it flows right out!

Thanks for the awesome review! We're glad you're loving your Bivo One for running and biking. We worked hard to make a lightweight, multi-use and fun bottle, and it makes us happy to hear your positive feedback. -Bivo Team

Awesome bottles.
Super impressed with the flow. I literally hydrate better than standard plastic bottles.
Easy to clean. Classy bottles that get noticed.
They are slightly heavier than plastic! I’d say lose 2 ounces of weight- easily done if you’re a weight weenie!

Thank you so much for the amazing review! We are so pleased that you love your Bivo bottles and appreciate the kind words. Cheers to amazing flow and staying hydrated!

Bivo bottles are the best! I love all the colors and how lightweight they are. We use these while biking, hiking, traveling, in the office, and out running errands. I love that you can take them apart and put them in the dishwasher!
