Better flow by design. Working with our ex-NASA engineer, we developed the Trio to reach an unmatched flow rate with no squeezing required. The result is smooth, consistent and genuinely enjoyable to drink from.

You can empty it faster than you can squeeze most traditional 621ml plastic bottles. It really is that fast.

Clean Taste

Clean Taste

It tastes like water, that's it. High quality stainless steel, food grade silicone, and a bottle that comes fully apart so you can clean every surface rather than the ones you can reach.

No sealed valve, no hidden channel, no plastic taste and no mould. Not in month one and not in year three.

The Trio does the same job on a bike as it does in a gym bag, a golf bag or on the side of a pitch. Insulated so it's still cold hours later, fast enough to drink in a short break, and tough enough that it doesn't matter what it gets thrown in with.

Cage freedom. Your bottle needs to stay put over bumps, potholes and rough roads, and still come out easily when you want it. We looked at most major bottle cages when we designed the shape, so it sits comfortably and stays where you put it.

Get a grip. Whether it's a long grind down a washboarded gravel road or the next hit on your mountain bike, the silicone exterior keeps the bottle in your hand, in your cage, and quiet enough to hear the birds.

It's going to get scratched

It's going to get scratched

Straight answer: a coated metal bottle in a metal cage will pick up marks. Ours does. The coating scuffs where the cage grips it, and over a season it'll look like something you've actually used.

That's a deliberate trade. The silicone coating is what gives you grip and kills the rattle, and we'd rather it wore than swap it for something slippery and loud.

If you'd prefer a bottle that doesn't show it, the Trio Raw is bare stainless steel and made for exactly that.

Sustainability

Sustainability

Serious fun, less waste. The point of a bottle like this is that you buy one instead of getting through a drawer full of plastic ones.

We chose materials with that in mind: recyclable stainless steel, no plastic lining, and replaceable parts so a worn lid doesn't mean a new bottle.

Looking after it

Rinse after each use. Every part separates, including the nozzle, so give it a full strip down every few weeks or after anything sugary.

No sealed valves means nothing is hiding. What you can see is what's there.

FAQs

How long does it stay cold?

12 hours and more. Double wall vacuum insulation, so it holds cold through a full day rather than a couple of hours.

Will it fit my bottle cage?

Yes. At 260mm tall and 77mm at its widest, it's a universal cage fit and works with standard cages without modification.

Is it heavy?

270g dry. That's heavier than a plastic bidon and lighter than most insulated metal bottles, because of the lightweight insulation construction.

Will the coating scratch?

In a metal cage, yes, over time. The silicone coating is what gives you the grip and the quiet, and it wears with use. If you'd rather it didn't show, the Trio Raw is bare stainless steel.

How do I clean it?

Take it apart. Everything separates including the nozzle, so there's no sealed valve trapping residue. Rinse after use, strip it fully every few weeks.

What's the difference between the Trio and the Trio Mini?

Capacity and size. Both are insulated. The Trio is 621ml and 260mm tall, the Mini is 500ml and 220mm, which suits tight bike frames, running belts and smaller bags.

Love this water bottle!!! Be sure to see their suggested types of cages that fit best, I changed to one of those and it didn't rattle. Also be sure to use the provided screws or get the round headed ones that fit your bike (I have an e-bike so I needed to get shorter screws). Make sure you know which bottle size you want, these are made out of aluminum so there is no "I'll squeeze it a little to make it fit" happening. This bottle will hold ice and drinks cold for many hours if not even overnight. I've been extremely happy with this bottle, I even bought the wife one. It will probably be the only bottle I buy moving forward. I got the brightest colored one because I ride a lot of Mountain Bike trails and if it happened to fall off I wanted the best chance of finding it again along the trail.

Thank you so much for the review! We're so pleased that you're happy with your bottle and it's amazing that you bought your wife one. That's so nice of you. That bottle looks fantastic on your bike!! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and kind words with us. Cheers, from the Bivo team :)

I just returned from a 2-hour ride in 90° heat (heat index 100°) 🥵. This was my first ride with my new Bivo Trio water bottle. Yes, it weighs (and costs) more than a traditional insulated polyethylene bottle, but that’s a small price to pay for an order of magnitude better performance.

The temperature regulation is simply extraordinary. Ice-cold water after 2 hours in 90° heat?!? Yes, please! 🙌 I would gladly pay a dollar a day for that luxury and my Bivo bottle would pay for itself in a matter of weeks.

Likewise, the valve and flow rate are far superior to any bike bottle I’ve ever used, and the silicone coating on the bottle makes it easy to grip with even the sweatiest hands. Finally, there’s the health and environmental benefits of a stainless steel bottle versus plastic.

My wife bought this Bivo as a gift for me after she bought one for herself and I developed a bad case of bottle envy. 🙄 Now I’ll be ordering a second bottle for myself (and one for her…) as soon as I figure out what color would go best with my purple bike!

Hi Michael,
I'm so happy to hear that this gift from your wife ended up being a game changer in the NC heat. Bottle envy is real! So nice to get plenty of water without having to squeeze the bottle. Hope you and your water stay cool the rest of the summer on your rides! Cheers, Bivo Team

I'll admit it - my household's consumer weakness is water containers. We have a lot of different brands and styles for a wide variety of uses, but we've been trying to minimize plastic. My plastic cycling bottles finally came to a well-deserved retirement (but will probably be with me forever, sigh), and enter Bivo!! The insulated Bivo bottles keep my water so dang cold on a bike in 95 F temps - but I even find myself reaching for them to use in the office, car trips, and errands. I wouldn't say they are optimized for all that stuff but I just love them. They fit easily in all our cupholders and standard bottle cages, are easy to clean, silicone mouthpiece means no painful tooth slams, and they pour SO EASILY. My cycling commute is about 30 miles round trip, so I bought a second Bivo within a few weeks of getting my first (different fantastic colors, of course!) and just ordered one for my boyfriend because he wants in. My dad ordered two for mountain biking. We're converts!!

Hi Brin,

Those bottles are looking good on your bike! Thank you so much for the amazing review of the bottle for both on and off your bike. They were originally designed for a bottle cage but we agree that they are so great for day-to-day effortless hydration as well. I'm so happy to hear the Bivo love has been contagious and your people have converted too. Bivo jealously is real! Cheers, Bivo Team

As a professional cyclist, coach, and nutritionist, I’ve spent countless hours in the saddle—racing, training, and coaching athletes through every kind of terrain and temperature. One constant in all those miles? The absolute need for clean, reliable hydration.

That’s why I’m genuinely excited to share something that has completely elevated my ride experience: Bivo Bottles.

These bottles are unlike anything I’ve ever used. Bivo has created a stainless steel bottle with a flow rate that rivals (and outperforms) traditional plastic bottles—without any of the health or environmental drawbacks. No more plastic aftertaste. No more worrying about harmful chemicals. Just pure, clean hydration, exactly when you need it.

What sets Bivo apart for me, beyond their commitment to performance, is their attention to safety, sustainability, and design. The bottle keeps my water cooler longer on long climbs and hot days, and the smooth, controlled flow means I can hydrate quickly without fumbling or slowing down. The high-flow nozzle is engineered specifically for athletes—fast, easy, and efficient. That matters when you're riding at threshold or in the middle of a long day out on the gravel.

As a nutritionist, I’m always guiding athletes to hydrate wisely, and part of that conversation includes how and what we drink from. With Bivo, I know I’m fueling safely and sustainably. And I recommend the same for my athletes—not just for performance, but for their long-term health and the health of our planet.

I’ve never been a fan of plastic bottles—and now, I’ll never go back.

If you’re serious about your riding, your health, and your impact—Bivo is the real deal.
Highly, highly recommend.

Loving these pics Charlotte! Thanks for your amazing review of our bottles. I'm so happy to hear you recommend our bottles to other athletes looking for clean, effortless hydration. That's why we're here! Cheers, Bivo Team.

I love these bottles but I just can't stand the look of them after two years of use.

Hi John! Thanks for writing. We are so glad you love your bottles. Longevity is a big priority for us, which is why we prioritized easy-to-clean features that allow the bottle to great shape and function well for years. Our silicone coating on the bottle can certainly wear over time from interaction from cages on the bike, as you've noticed. I'm sorry you're disappointed with how your bottle looks. Since you purchased this bottle a few years ago, we have continued to improve the quality of the silicone coating to make it more durable. We hope you enjoy the two new Raw coated bottles you bought recently, and overall, we are just so grateful for your feedback and encouragement to continue improving our product and making something that people love and use for years and years. Cheers, from the Bivo team.

My insulated Bivo bottles are awesome! After a few days of remembering to drink without squeezing I have found that I am drinking more water now and enjoying the taste again. Plus the colors look great on my bike. Thank You for taking the time to make something that is truly better.

Robert - What a perfect bike + bottle set up you have! We're glad you're drinking more water with Bivo and enjoying the taste! Thank you for choosing Bivo. Cheers, the Bivo Crew.

This is my 2nd set of Bivo 21 OZ insulated bottles, replacing the 1st set that leaked. The customer service is amazing and understands how to treat their customers.

The 2nd set do not leak and are amazing.

Thank you for this great review, Gerry! We love the pictures you included, thanks for sharing. Enjoy the ride out there, and we'll see you around! - Cheers, Team Bivo

Love my Bivos. Have been using dual wall stainless water bottles for a while, but I am a recent convert to Bivo. The 21 oz insulated Bivo Trio is my favorite. Ice lasts twice as long in the Bivo as in my previous dual wall stainless bottle that didn't have the additional insulation to keep the sun off. I love the free-flow valve. ++

Hi Robert! Thank you for writing in to share some thoughts on your new Bivo Trio. It makes us happy to hear you're a recent Bivo convert and that you love your icy cold water and fast flow rate! Your bike and bottle match pretty perfectly! Cheers, Keaton at Bivo

Got this to replace my previous non-insulated Bivo that was stolen. This bottle is bigger and after a 2.5 hour ride in 90F/32C weather, there is still unmelted ice inside! The insulation works pretty darn well.

Really tight fit with the composite bottle cage I had been using. Also the taller bottle conflicted with the frame bag I like to use.

Solution was to get a WideFoot Stout Cage that has a bunch of mounting options. Positioned the cage lower on the down tube and problem solved!

Thank you for choosing Bivo! We're so glad that you're pleased with the insulation and you're happy with the WideFoot Stout Cage. We hope you stay hydrated out there, from the Bivo Crew.

I’ve had mine for a few years now. I’ll never go back to squeeze bottle. They flow almost toooo well. So much so you have to be carful not to drink all the water too quickly. I know camelbak came out with one, the issue with that camelbak one is it’s two handed operation. You have to hold the bottle and twist it open, or twist it open whilst the bottle is in the cage then remove it. The bivo you pop it open with your mouth and it’s good to go. I bought another high volume non insulated on today at the MADE show in PDX. They have fallen off my bike many times, and everything still works great. Plus new dust caps which work great! Super stoked, great product, and I would replace all my plastic bottles!! You can see in the pictures the blue bivo vs green camelbak…camelbak is gonna get returned.

Thank you for this great review! We're glad you love your Bivo and find it easier to use than all your other bottles. Thanks for stopping by the MADE show, we had such a blast there this weekend! Have a wonderful day, and we hope to see you down the road!

The bottles are absolutely beautiful!!! Not only do they look good, but maintain the drink super cold. I had to learn not to put too much ice because the ice didn't melt.

Thank you for this amazing review! We love this picture of your Bivos by the waterfront. We are thrilled that you find our bottles beautiful and high-performing. Cheers to cold water and more fun adventures to come. -Team Bivo

Ridiculously heavy and expensive. Difficult to open. Supporting is poor. Too beautifully made to risk putting it in a bike bottle cage and getting it damaged, which defeats the point of buying it.

Great - first ride with my new Bivos last weekend and delighted to have a refreshingly cold drink available all afternoon - I wish I had bought them earlier

Have been using Bivo insulated bottles, on my long rides, for some time now. Weather in SA can get pretty toasty and these bottles keep your beverages ice cold for ages. Great product. Highly recommended

Great bottle, but for the price I would expect the finish to be better. Cannot fault the easy of use and flow rate, very impressed and prefer to my old plastic bottle. However after a couple of uses the bottle is already scratched from my bottle cage which is disappointing.

Irene

Generally good bottle, seems high quality. I'd say it's about 95% leak-proof though, I don't know if it's because the system to close it is not too good? I also wish it came with a strap, because it seems they are not making the cool lid anymore.

M
Michael W.

I love this bottle for its insulating properties, it’s good flow of water, and it’s good looks. However, I do not like how it leaks. There must be some magic technique to screwing the cap on because occasionally it didn’t leak. More often than not, it leaks a small amount each time it’s turned upside down. For the price I paid, the bottle should not leak at all.
